Born and raised in Tilburg. She left for Utrecht to study, where she graduated in family law. Moved to Amsterdam (East) for a second master’s degree at the UvA, this time specializing in employment law. Her parents are also both lawyers. Iris has been working at De Koning Vergouwen Advocaten since her student days.

At DKVA, Iris is part of the Employment Law section. She specializes, among other things, in assisting employers in the childcare sector. Questions about the CAO Childcare, terms of employment, contracts and general terms and conditions are daily fare for her. Very skilled in writing and orally. She tells it like it is. Still appreciates the personal aspect of family law and sees this reflected in employment law. That can be just as drastic.

Iris can often be found in the gym. Can also ski very well. Prefers to read British fiction, because of the dry humour. Friends find her loyal and direct. Right in front of her. That is sometimes nice and sometimes confrontational. It makes her a very good counselor. She devours series and documentaries about the Second World War.
