Brigitte specializes in international commercial law and real estate. She has built up a considerable
track record and is in high demand as a lawyer and interim by various companies,
including listed companies.
Brigitte studied Dutch law at the University of Amsterdam. In addition, she completed an intensive training at the University of Cambridge in England, which covered all aspects of English law. She also completed the Real Estate specialization training at the Grotius Academy and is a member of the Association of Real Estate Lawyers (VVJ) and Dutch Women in Real Estate (DWIRE). In collaboration with other real estate lawyers, she has written a book on nuisance caused by neighbors in tenancy law, entitled “Remedies tegen overlastgevende Huur” (2nd revised edition). Brigitte also regularly gives legal seminars to various Dutch and international companies. She also regularly publishes legal articles.
Brigitte is Dutch, but was born in Prague (Czech Republic) and speaks Dutch, English and Czech fluently. In addition to real estate law, she also deals with international commercial law. In international trade law, she mainly handles disputes between Dutch and Czech companies. She works together with the Czech embassy in The Hague, the Dutch-Czech Chamber of Commerce in Prague (NCCC), the Czech-Dutch Chamber of Commerce in The Hague (CDCC) and Czech Trade in Rotterdam. In cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and the Embassy, she participates in a trade mission to the Czech Republic every year.
In addition to her work, Brigitte is a member of the Rotary Club Amsterdam International (RCAI), The ELSA Lawyers Society. This is a network of lawyers and legal professionals in 43 countries focused on knowledge exchange and the use of local expertise. Through this membership, she has been able to build good relationships with offices in various countries.
