Grew up in a small town in North-Holland. Moved to Amsterdam at eighteen. She decided at a young age that she would study law and become a lawyer. Since 2020, she has been practicing as a lawyer, focusing on employment law at DKVA. In 2023, she graduated cum laude from the PALA (Post-Academic Course in Employment Law).
Legally sharp and highly organized. She thrives on rolling up her sleeves for large-scale reorganizations. Solution-oriented, she excels at thinking, switching, and acting quickly. She appreciates that DKVA supports both “big players” and individual employees. Dedicated and social, she always has a listening ear. Her passion is sparked by equal treatment cases. Dorien is a member of the specialized associations Vereniging voor Jonge Arbeidsrecht Advocaten (VJAA) and Vereniging voor Arbeidsrecht (VVA).
Always fun. The queen of karaoke, she runs half marathons in her spare time and loves to jump on a road bike with colleagues after a workday. She can even be woken up at night for a game of padel. She makes the most of every vacation, from safaris in Tanzania to climbing mountains in Patagonia.
