Descendant of a true entrepreneurial family. Eldest of three sisters. Always knew she would become a lawyer. Studied law at the UvA and has been a lawyer since 2014. Worked at a large firm, on Sint Maarten and at a trust office. Successfully started her own firm in 2020, but still missed colleagues and excitement. She has found them at De Koning Vergouwen Advocaten since 2024.
Valérie mainly focuses on corporate law, M&A and corporate litigation at DKVA. She prefers to assist entrepreneurs. From start to finish. From shareholders’ agreements to every conceivable conflict. Knows her way to the Enterprise Chamber and the civil court. Above all, she is practical and concrete. Thinking in possibilities and opportunities. Writes procedural documents that appeal to everyone’s imagination. A gift.
Caring, loyal and above all social. She prefers to be the hostess. Enjoys cooking for others, preferably Mexican. Loves the sun in the Antilles and the snow in the Alps. Can’t wait for the office winter sports. Valérie is married and mother of Xavier.
